What type of skylight can I get for my flat roof?

Skylights are a great way of transforming a living space, increasing the amount of natural light in the room. They have become a popular feature on extensions in recent years and are often worth the extra cost if you’re already having the work done.

There are many types of skylight, so we’ve put together this quick guide on our best sellers to help you decide which is best for you.

Roof Lantern

This is our most popular skylight. Not only do they look great but these large roof lanterns allow large amounts of light into the room. They’re also great for viewing the night sky, with large glass panels allowing a brilliant view of the stars on a clear night.

These roof lanterns come in a choice of white or grey frame colours, as well as a 10-year guarantee.

Pyramid Skylight

These pyramid skylights are smaller versions of the popular roof lantern.

Also available in white or grey and complete with a 10-year guarantee.

Dome Rooflight

Dome rooflights are a more affordable option of skylight and are available in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours. These skylights also have the option of clear finish for maximum light or a diffused option for more privacy and a lower intensity of light.

These skylights are a great cost-effective option and also come with a 10-year warranty.

Toughened Glass Flat Rooflight

Our more bespoke option comes in the form of a toughened glass rooflight. With high-quality glass available as double glazed and triple glazed, this skylight is highly customisable with a variety of other options too. This skylight is available with a blue tint, clear or frosted finish and is available in 27 different sizes. There is also a self-cleaning option with an applied coating that breaks down dirt to be washed away by rain water!

This bespoke skylight system also has excellent warranties available depending on the customisation.

Skylights can add twice the amount of light to a room as standard house windows and can increase overall natural light substantially and it’s no wonder they are becoming a more popular addition to the modern home.

Prices can vary depending on a large number of factors, however, we are able to provide a free estimate if you’re hoping for a skylight installation.
